Why does this Society exist?
LUMS stands for the Leicester University Malaysian Society. LUMS is an integral core of the tight-knit Malaysian community in Leicester, providing friendship, networking, a series of events every term and general welfare for our members. The society mainly focuses in making their members’ stay in Leicester a memorable and enjoyable one whilst introducing the multi-cultural Malaysian community and South-East Asian culture to the locals through numerous events organised throughout the year.
Why should you join LUMS?
You should join us because:
• if you want to get a sense of being at home
• meet new friends by getting involved in social events
• meet fellow Malaysian students as well as people of other nationalities that have taken an interest in our society

Hello. this is just to remind you that Warwick Malaysia Games 2011 is just happening in two weeks! The initial registration deadline has been extended to 16th March 2011 (Wednesday). Please be sure to register your contingent and confirm your participation for Warwick Malaysia Games 2011 as it’s not too late to book train tickets to travel to University of Warwick, Coventry (Not Warwickshire!). Rules and regulations is now available for participants to look through and make the necessary arrangements. It’s all up in our official website at http://warwickmsa.co.uk/warwickgames/.

Warwick Malaysia Games 2011 is just right around the corner, and it’s happening a week after All England Badminton Championship! First time ever in Malaysian Games history, we will be having Ultimate Frisbee and Touch Rugby as part of the games. We are also offering our very own brand new MSA Football cup, MSA Netball cup and Touch Rugby Vice-President Shield!
Date: 19th March 2011 (Saturday)
Venue: University of Warwick Sports Centre, Westwood Games Hall
Time: 09:00 – 19:00

If you just want to experience a day of being in a Hari Sukan mood and cheer your hearts out for your friends on the court, just bring yourself to University of Warwick and enjoy some awesome Malaysian food, which will be sold at Westwood Lecture Hall. It’s a great opportunity for you to meet up with your friends from all over the UK and also be part of a competition that actually wins a cup back! Also you get to visit our beautiful campus during spring, which looks really pretty.
Remember, deadline is just a week away! 16th March 2011 (Wednesday)! Be sure to send in your registration forms as soon as possible!
